A couple of years back, I hooked up a power-line comm-system using ethernet, i.e. it performed as 10 Mbps ethernet using the house wiring as its medium.
Is that more or less what you're trying to do, albeit using RS485? There's a whole market full of devices for home security and home control that use this method. RE |
