#189219 - SST could be an option
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I requested some SST chip from Microchip that could be replacement of the NXP. They are cheaper but have lower performance than the Atmel single cycle core.

Some year ago I had to change to P89CV, but there arose an error, which was also in the AT89C51ED2 ( an AUXR bit was no reset at startup as in the previous versions ), then I bought some stock of the obsolete NXP P89C51RD2 to be sure.
It is now in the errata, by resetting the bit at startup, the problem is solved.

Jan, thanks for your help.
