#189240 - An isolated PSEN works fine ?
Responding to: ???'s previous message

The load on PSEN is an input of a GAL 16V8, it is an old design, in fact PSEN is not needed any more.

So if you cut/isolate the PSEN, does the device then start OK every time ?
(you could even snip the PSEN on the package )

What is the exact part number of the PLD ?
The GAL16V8 data I look at says it has a Pullup resistor, (-100uA) which should not affect PSEN / Boot sense ?

There are some SPLD with pin-keep-IO, and those I could see giving PSEN conflict issues.
