#151584 - is it ABLE to do that?

I want to read absolute position and pressure from the touchpad,

Is there anything that makes you sure that the controller is ABLE to transmit that information? Is there any service utility or such (running on the original laptop probably under Windows, or in BIOS), displaying the absolute position and pressure? If not, there is unlikely there is such an option at all...

You can of course use only the sensor itself and throwing away the original controller and replace it by your own, but that would be a truly major undertaking...
