I read your comment, about "develop all, even small, new apps in 32 bits," and your conclusion seemed almost trivially obvious. Of course such an attitude is dumb. But that gave me pause to think about the people who subscribe to such a philosophy. Surely these are not dumb people, right?

So how, exactly, does a reasoned person reach such a conclusion? I've tried and can not come up with a single line of reasoning whereby this would be the conclusion, at least not one where it wouldn't be quickly subverted.

So how does one come to such a belief?
