#189547 - 8/32 bit musings
I am now doing a mix of 8 ('51) and 32 bit (Cortex) jobs and have found that while, of course, the 32 bitters do far more, the I/O devleopment is far more cumbersome on the Cortex. I can put a SILabs/NXP '51 I²C together in a couple of hours for a Cortex (have done ST and Freescale) it takes days.

Thus I think the "develop all, even small, new apps in 32 bits" drive is plain dumb.
