#188809 - What's in a name.
Responding to: ???'s previous message

it may "Look impressive" to an Arghmel fan, but to call an Arghmel only prodct '51" is false advertising

Who is Arghmel,

If a "pet name" is an affectionate name for someone/something you like, what is the "anti" term for a contemptuous name for someone/something you dis-like?

Anyhow, as already noted, Arghmel is Erik's "anti pet name" for Atmel.

and what is only prodct '51" ??

You're imagining the hyphen in the wrong place. He meant, "to call an Arghmel-only prodct '51' is false advertising"

In other words, the product should be called "TurboAtmel Studio" - rather than "Turbo51 Studio".

Anyhow, I rather suspect that Emarcadero probably still have claims on the name "Turbo Pascal", and Atmel themselves on "Atmel Studio"...
