#188617 - I wonder what's keeping it "alive"
Responding to: ???'s previous message
There are ADC's with higher precision, easier-to-manage interface, faster conversion rate, and lower price ... MUCH lower price, today. I suspect it's the military market that's keeping this one on the market, and probably just from existing stock. I checked Octopart.com, and there are certainly plenty of sources with stock.

There was a time when these were considered top-of-the-line, but that was very long ago.

With a conversion time of 34 microseconds, it's not fast by more recent standards. With the parallel interface it's not the easiest to deal with. I seriously doubt anyone would use 'em for anything other than direct replacement, e.g. in a repair situation.

Though I've purchased 'em in the past, I've never used one in a new design, even though they were top-of-the-line at one time.
