Hi Andy,

I do not know of any that directly measure ellipses. That's not to say they're not there, just that I don't know of any. If I needed to I would just save the trace data to disc (my old LeCroy has a 3½" floppy drive) and write a program to analyze the data.

But if all you want is the capacitance of a capacitor, you only need the maximum value of y and the y-intercept, both of which are easily measured with cursors.
