Wow - first new post in over 2 years!
As a point of "Microcontroller programming differs from general-purpose 'PC' programming", I'd add the fact that the external hardware matters - it's not purely an exercise in software alone. Therefore, a basic understanding of electronics is required - and some electronics test gear will be needed. So many people posting with problems seem to look only at the software; haven't done anything to see what - if anything - is actually happening in the external hardware. :( |
