I have also been looking for a replacement for an NXP MCU. I emailed Microchip at the following address: [email protected], and I have been sent a copy of EasyIAP. This is the Windows executable that the SST bootloader uses. My contact there confirmed that the bootloader is not the same as the NXP one.

I have yet to try to get it to work - don't know if it works in Windows 7.
