See http://www.8052.com/forum/read/181252 - there are many ARM boards available for under US$20; some even under US$10.

Lots of companies are currently leaping onto the ARM - especially Cortex - bandwagon and are desparate to get you to choose their chip.
Many are giving away boards - I have several!

Get them while the price is good!
